In 1933 the Prabhat Film Company moved to Pune, where for the first time they acquired a tin-built studio. Shantaram had already directed six silent films for Prabhat before making Ayodhyecha Raja. His first sound film won him instant recognition, for the film was also an attempt at making more effective use of the mobility of the medium, as opposed to the staginess of the early sound films. look up Dr. V Shantaram
