Plans are floated to make Hans Pictures a limited company and on 1st Feb, Hans Pictures becomes Navyug Chitrapat Limited, probably the first attempt to make a film company limited. Navyug makes films like Lapandav, Amrut, Sangam (1940-41). But some Pune businessmen show interest in investing in Navyug and the company shifts to Pune.
