They make Chaya, based on a story by V S Khandekar, which wins the Gohar Prize, in the same year. Around this time, Dadasaheb Nimbalkar makes his Swarajya Seemevar, written by Bhalji Pendharkar. Other films are being made in Kolhapur at this time. Sardar Balasaheb Yadav forms Chatrapati Cinetone and makes some talkies – Kurukshetra, Santaji Dhanaji, famous because of their battle scenes. | ||
